Born: 01/29/2014
LA:

Jagger was listed as a wether until our first official milk test of the year, in February. We've always loved Leilani, but her milk production was below expectations, while her weight was above expectations. We suspected it was because for three years running, she had a single kid, and this theory has proven correct. After kidding with triplets in 2014, she slimmed down and produced a very respectable 4.75 on her first test.

We chose Jagger for his outstanding general appearance, with strong topline and great elegance. Did we mention he has blue eyes as well? Bonus!

The very day of our move to Holister in 2015, Jagger broke his left rear leg (we suspect a fall or snag from their climbing tree). Having no way to deal with him on hand, and the vet clinic being closed, we just put him in with the rest of the young stock and made the long trip.
To our amazement, he was the first one out of the trailer and ran around, exploring his surrounds. We decided not to put him down; I was curious if he could still breed with the very wonky rear leg. He proved that he was indeed most capable and eager. We offered Jagger first choice of the does this year, and it looks like he will soon have kids on the ground! He will never heal correctly, but he is bright and playful as ever - until it looks like he is in a lot of pain, we are going to keep him around... and hope to have him collected in 2016.

Mick Jagger is not available for outside breedings, due to his injury.
