SALES & Litters

We ALWAYS have pigs for sale. For breeding stock, we recommend waiting until they are at least 6 months to a year of age, when their conformation can be more readily assessed, but we know that folks usually want cute baby pigs.

We will separate and hand-tame piglets only when they are paid for in full prior to four weeks of age.
Normally we prefer pigs to be pigs and absolutely any pig can be hand-tamed with kindness, patience and of course... treats.

PET PIGS: Neutered boys, $800. Girls, $800. These will be registered with the Juliana Pig Association and Registry (JPAR) and will be microchipped. They will come with a no-breeding agreement. We do recommend that you have your female piglet spayed before maturity, they will be much happier and you'll be spared the very distinctive "piggy PMS!" It's real, and it can make them extremely grumpy.

REGISTERED BREEDING STOCK: Boars, $1,200, Gilts or Sows, $900. Discount for multiple animals arranged by private treaty. We select only the best of our stock as potential breeders and will gladly replace any non-breeder or animal with a genetic defect with the next available piglet of equal value. Health is guaranteed for one year from date of purchase and any losses will be replaced upon receipt of a veterinarian's certificate stating the cause of death as being the result of a genetic condition and that the pig was otherwise in good condition.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT: We require a $200 deposit on all reservations. Order of selection of piglets will be based on deposit date. We accept e-Transfer, cash and cheques (cheques must clear before being considered paid). Final payment must clear before picking up or shipping your pig. No refunds will be issued should you fail to complete payment or take possession of your purchase once committed.

AGE AT WEANING: It is tempting to get a pig at 4 weeks of age. This is a common practice in the pet industry, but it is not healthy for the pig's emotional or physical development and will only be considered for piglets that are rejected, poor doers (runts) or orphans, for whom a normal, loving relationship with their dam is not possible.
We generally prefer to place piglets at 8 weeks of age but will hold them until 12 weeks if needed. When feasible, we welcome buyers to come visit their piglets on site while waiting!

SHIPPING:
Julianas travel well by air, in suitably sized, sturdy dog crates. We can arrange transport from Kamloops or Kelowna via WestJet, at an additional $200 plus the cost of a quality crate. There are many reputable livestock haulers available, but please ensure that your pig will be adequately fed and watered. Piglets can dehydrate quickly and this can be catastrophic on a long trip.

We are located in Barriere, BC, Canada. If you are in the US, the import restrictions can be daunting and subject to change with little notice. Please consult your current agricultural animal import guidelines. We are happy to accommodate testing and documentation at cost, but it can be substantive.

Pet piglets ready for new adventures: 1F, 2M $300 (2 for $500)

Pigs do better with company - they are highly social and like to live in family units.
We have four for sale right now, two neutered males and two young females. :) Look for updated pigtures soon!

Piglets grow VERY quickly, but luckily they stay cute for life. The piglets in the middle are 7 weeks old, and the pair on the outside are 12 weeks old.

Piggies can be very competitive, messy eaters. Prepare a good spot for them to enjoy their meals... even if the occasional bowl is flipped!
