Welcome...

Mythos Farm is a smallholding, raising Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, Juliana mini-pigs and heritage breed chickens. We are currently in the process of moving from California back to Canada, and apologize for the dust, manure, broken bits and lack of updates.

Our goal is sustainable, humane food production, offering our stock comfortable lives with the respect they deserve, whether they are raised for milk, eggs or meat.

It's been some time since we launched our original farm site in 2010, and we needed to make some significant changes in order to accommodate our growing needs.

In addition to our original Nigerian Dwarf goat herd, we now have a solid breeding herd of miniature Juliana pigs and have finally settled on five types of heritage chickens that we will work with for the long haul.

It's going to take me some time to peel all the old photos back from the aging FTP server before they poof for all time. My goal is to ensure that people coming to this site will always be able to link to every animal we've ever had listed, generations later.

Like the pic of hour-old kids below, tiny and wobbly, let's see how long it takes to grow this site to the point that I can take it live! With luck, less than the standard 5-month gestation.

Thanks so much for posting your kidding care guide...it's really easy to follow and we love the illustrations. We used it yesterday with a "head back 1" position. and posted it on our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/thegoatdairy?ref=hl

I came across your site as I worked with my 4-H Caprine Quiz Bowl Team. I just wanted to compliment you on the drawings you've included in the page on birth presentations. These are the best I've ever seen! They were helpful and beautiful. Well done!

Dear owner of Gryphon Tor,
My name is Grace, and I am Aubrey Gehman's best friend. She recently bred her doe to your buck Manuka, and the baby goats are adorable! I am so sad to hear that you are moving, and I hope all the goats found good homes, I am especially sad to hear that Manuka is being sold, and that all of those animals and the farm you worked so hard to build isn't going to be in function anymore. I only live about a half mile from your ranch, and Aubrey points it out to me every time we pass. Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for breeding Manuka to Missi. Aubrey is so happy, and the baby goats are healthy and adorable! Even though I personally raise sheep, I love being around the Gehman's goats. I'm sorry this comment is so long, but thank you for making Aubrey's first year breeding goats unforgettable!

I was searching for auracanda chicks/info and came across your page. I cried. Reading your writings, I was living your disaster with you. Having raised horses, chickens and sheep in the past I also know loss but never had to deal with a natural disaster situation. I hope you are healing and recovering. I thank you for sharing your brave, impacting and raw commentary. God bless you.
