Welcome...

Mythos Farm is a smallholding, raising Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, Juliana mini-pigs and heritage breed chickens. We are currently in the process of moving from California back to Canada, and apologize for the dust, manure, broken bits and lack of updates.

Our goal is sustainable, humane food production, offering our stock comfortable lives with the respect they deserve, whether they are raised for milk, eggs or meat.

It seems like only yesterday that we moved to Hollister, but it has been many months now. We are still not unpacked. We have not yet had the time or money to clean and fix things up as we'd like. We've not put in new fencing...

One thing is for sure though. We are on a new path, one that we hope ends in achieving our goal of being a self-sustaining cheesery. We have eight years to reach the goal, and we can only hope that fate supports our efforts.

We changed our name to Mythos Farm a little over a week ago. There is no Tor anywhere near us now, but we live on a magical meadow that is close to cities and yet manages to maintain a quiet, peaceful, almost enchanted quality. Every morning, the farm emerges from a glowing mist, and we are within view of a marvelous ring of golden California mountains that surround our valley. It is a wonderful place to build our own Mythos.

While we slowly let go of the Gryphon Tor herd name that serves us so well for five years, we will retain the appropriately mythical goat of the logo - and will add additional logos and symbols over time as our farm and product line grows.

I am sad to hear you changed your name, but I am glad to know you are still in business! I personally like the name Mythos a lot : Tell Manuka "hi" from Missi, if he remembers her! :)

Hi, That's my Facebook page, I don't have a website. I just wanted to thank you for the informative pictures and info on your "Kidding - don't panic"... I would love to see more, they are very helpful. This year for the first time I had a kid coming with head back but turned upside down with his twin beside him. That was not fun... I too close my eyes 'to see' when inside. Just a question, I have large goats, kiko/boer/nubian crosses, and when I have one foot presentation with the head, I intervene and try to place a hand behind the shoulder and guide out... Do you think that I should not do that? I have had a kid that's head is so big and including one leg, stuck and swelling up... I would love to see you draw pictures with twins and triplets... just so a person can see "inside"... sometimes it feels like a bag of limbs, all mixed up. We've kidded well over 400 kids over the years, and I still feel like a novice at times. I would like to share your illustrations with friends. I would like to see how you make that kidding loop. Let me know when you have your Facebook page back up.Thanks again for your information. I hope you have great success in your new home. Starr Lonto

Do you have families visit your ranch? A friend's daughter loves pigmy goats. For the daughter's BD she would like to visit along with her grandchildren. Is that at all possible? Thank you.

We are happy to let folks come by. If you have looked at our FB site: Sweet Creek Goat Farm Oklahoma, you will see we have lots of goats, and a lot of cuddling. But, we do not have pygmy goats... Is your friend living in Oklahoma? or close by? I am located near Poteau, OK close to the town of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
